3 months!!

Today our baby dear is 3 months old. Time goes so fast. And she's growing just as quickly. Looking at her today, I was reminded of a verse...
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" Matthew 6:25-27

She really doesn't ask for much. Just love and attention. I'm reminded daily of her innocence by the way she smiles. I'm reminded of God's abundant grace by the look in her big blue eyes when she glances our way. I think of the Lord's humor in her laughter and squeals of delight that get her so out of control it sends her coughing. The simple things make her happy. Waking up snuggled between Mom and Dad; a decent breakfast after a 7 hour night (yesss!); being held, snuggled and kissed all over. She's one happy baby.

So the child who is swiftly outgrowing her 0-3 month clothes and working her way into 3 month clothes that I thought would never fit her, is the joy of our lives. Even now, as I'm sitting here writing, she's exhausted her self out playing on her mat, telling her toys stories and laughing at what they say back, and she's starting to doze. I think her posture says it all...nothing but a diaper, arms flung out to the side. Vaunerable and trusting of the environment the Lord's provided her. She has no need to worry about her life.
